We have 5 P-40s here at Peachtree Dekalb Airport this morning. Also, two of the remaining the original Flying Tiger crewmen. So cool.

Very cool. My grandfather was a Flying Tiger. He unfortunately passed in 2007, but it is very cool that some are still alive and kicking. My brother each have a P-40 my grandfather widdled out of parts from the plane after crashing in China, and I have some of his medals. The windshield on them is made from the broken canopy and the props are made from ration can tins. When he got back to base, he had them painted with he original paint and matched the shark mouth. Amazing what the service men and women endured through WWII.

Wow, that is impressive. The Tigers did a lot with very little and in very adverse conditions. They also risked a lot as they would be shot as spies if captured. Hat tip to your grandfather for his service.
